Today in room 14 we talked about what home is. Here are some of the things I thought of.
Home Is...
A home is a place you can call yours. It is a place where you feel safe. Where you feel like you belong no matter how different you are. Some people say home is where the heart is. For me home is where I am welcome. I have a few homes. I miss my old homes. I especially miss Ivanhoe. My nan lives at Ivanhoe and my friends are out there. People may look at me and think I am a mega city girl but that is because they don't know me. To tell you the truth I don't know myself that well but I know what I love and I know that I love being out in the country. Down by the river. The cool wind blows through your hair as you watch the cool river flow. So for me I know I accepted into many places and I have many homes.

Book Week
This week at Ranfurly it is book week and Miss Tonkin has given us a short asignment. We have to tell everyone our favourite book and why we like it. Here goes.
Since I have gotten older I have read so many different, interesting books but my all time favourite book is "Mahtab's Story". The reason I like this book is because I feel as if I am in the book because of the descriptive and figurative language. I would hate to be crampped up in the back of a truck. I also made a connection with this book because Mahtab and her family were travelling to get to a safer place whilst I moved to escape from drama. Overall I think this is an extremelly well writen book. This is a new educational maths game http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks2/maths/measures/index.htm http://www.abc.net.au/countusin/games/game15.htm Saturday August 21st
Today not only is it Miss Tonkin's birthday but it is also my dad's. Today we are celebrating my dads birthday by having a barbeque with some relatives. Monday 16th of August
Today Ranfurly 4/5/6 volunteers went to a rehersal for the high school musical production at the mildura senior college than we headed over to chaffey after lunch. At chaffey I seen Indica Lawson and Jade and Ashlee Kelly. I think that high school musical gives children a good oportunity to have fun whilst doing something they like surrounded by fellow students..
In this picture you can see Bidja. The little joey I started to raise but the cold got to him. It was a sad goodbye but now he is burried at my cousins. R.I.P Bidja Brennan Clark,,, We miss you little Guy!!! =( xoxox Friday 13th of August
Today in room 14 we started out with RE(religious education). After that we went to sport with Miss Shore. In sport we had warm up relays and then went on to rotating from tripple jump to long jump. After sport we went to recess. Recess had finished so we went on to FAB(friends and books).Friends and books is an all new program various primary schools and some high schools around Victoria are using. After FAB we enjoyed some maths game with Miss Richo in groups of two or four.
My name is Riahenna. I am 12 years old and I am in grade 6 at ranfurly primary school.
